Teaching

SeeChord can be used across a wide range of topics to help students to understand the mechanics of a piece of music.

Students own compositions can be analysed using a SeeChord chart.  This will help students to see how well their pieces are constructed, and whether they are following the basic rules of harmony, or breaking them in an intelligent way!  It will also allow them to compare their own music with other students, composers or songwriters.  There are personalised services available here if you would like to find out more.

We are currently working on creating charts and analyses for pieces that are to be studied for A level. If you have any comments or questions, or maybe ideas about how SeeChord can be used in the classroom, please contact us and give us your feedback.
